Visited a friend who rents a a cottage at Ocean Point each year.  

I stopped at the Boothbay Harbor Farmers Market and purchased a couple of whoppie pies

 Saturday, August 15, 2020 Lighthouses were built to be seen from the water and Maine Maritime Museum offers  the chance to see ten of Maine’s finest lighthouses the way they were meant to be seen!   On this cruise we saw all the lighthouses along the Kennebec Historic Waterway and through Boothbay Harbor.  Doubling Point Lighthouse-Built in 1898, it is a white octagonal tower placed on the upper end of Fiddler’s Reach. Kennebec Range Lights-A unique set of two beacon towers designed to help ships maneuver through a difficult bend of the river. Squirrel Point Lighthouse-A small, white wooden tower with a small room and attached walkway.  Built in 1898. Perkins Island Lighthouse-A white, wooden octagonal tower, with the keeper’s house, barn and stone bell tower. Earth Station Andover

 Monday, August 17, 2020 Trip towards Andover, Maine searching for Devil's Den.  We were close but were unsuccessful finding using the GPS.  Perhaps we didn't drive quite far enough.   Here is the description.    Devil's   Den .  Devil's   Den  is located about 6-7 miles on South Arm Road just outside of town. This spot offers a great view of a small canyon, from which it received its name. Here are a few pictures from today's adventure.  Driving through Roxbury, I noticed a side road that look familiar from years ago.  Saw these two deer grazing in the field.  A little further up this private road came upon this.  This is former home of The Earth Station which put Andover Maine on the map   Andover Earth Station was one of the first satellite  earth stations , located at Andover in the US state of Maine. These are pictures at Old Orchard Beach on July 3, 2020 COVID-19 Summer  The temporary restriction on all discretionary travel at the Canada-U.S. border put in place on March 21 at 12:01 am EDT continues. This restriction has been extended until at least July 21, 2020, and can be prolonged as necessary for public health reasons. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is reminding all travelers, ahead of the July 1 (Canada) and July 4 (United States) holidays, that  travel restrictions   are still in place  at all Canadian international border crossings. These measures remain in place until at least July 21st.  No speedos this summer at OOB.
